Our Everdeck Panel fulfils a design requirement for a new type of railway platform decking system made entirely from composite materials.
With Network Rail investing in infrastructure improvements for the long term future, the resultant GRP system has benefits which show clear advantages over alternative proposals including steel, concrete and timber, where a combination of corrosion resistance, strength, light-weight, rapid fit times and insulating properties are all desirable characteristics. The design is tested, approved and in service at an increasing number of stations on the UK network.
Factory fabricated panels provide a black, slip resistant, highly durable surface incorporating an offset tactile paving strip, all required safety line markings and a hidden fixing system.
The system is designed to conform to all criteria laid down in Network Rail Business Document NR/PS/RES/0030, Issue 2 dated June 2005.
Bonded GRP one piece modular construction incorporating 27mm thick panel with a 53mm thick bull-nose on the trackside edge to provide additional stability for the overhang. Black Anti-slip surface with refined aluminium oxide, offering an extremely hard wearing surface. Beige off-set blister pattern tactile strip. All required safety line markings, white front edge & yellow speed hazard warning line.
Panels have undergone independent testing to record mechanical capabilities, slip resistance and establish conformance. Live trials were also conducted with suitability & performance monitored. The Evergrip GRP system now offers a 60-year design life.
Everdeck Panels are in service at the following stations, Bramley, Marsden, Metheringham, Mills Hill, Mirfield, Sandall & Agbrigg, Steeton & Silsden, Tutbury & Hatton, Ulceby.
Standard width 1200 mm, typical depth: 2500mm to 3000mm
Everdeck panels are produced to site specifications based on the existing trestle layout and gauging, as requested by the client.
Also available in a plain black version, without tactile for ramp ends & shelter areas.
