Description:
A high strength adhesive specially designed to bond surface mounted tactile tiles in wet conditions. When cured it gives a hard tough film which is waterproof. Gives excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including:
concrete, asphalt, timber, metals and ceramics.
Application Technique:
1. All surfaces should be free from dirt and grease prior to bonding. Surface water should be removed.
2. The adhesive is a twin pack adhesive and should be mixed in the ratio as supplied i.e. 5.2 : 1 (A:B) by weight.
3. This adhesive requires the hardener to be added to the base and mixed until a uniform colour is achieved throughout. Mixing should be done with a suitable drill and small mixing paddle. This product once mixed has a pot life of approximately 30 minutes @ 20ºC.
4. The mixed adhesive can then be spread out using a 4 mm serrated adhesive trowel. Coverage of adhesive should be approximately 1.6m² / kit (dependant upon substrate porosity).
5. Once the tiles have been laid into position they should be consolidated by hand with firm even pressure.
6. The adhesive sets up quickly and will hold the tiles in place within 2 hours at 20ºC.
Notes:
1. Ceramic or polished surfaces should be abraded prior to bonding.
2. Do not apply to substrates with standing water.
3. Do not apply below 0ºC
